Inscriptions

Aufzeichnungen aus dem Archiv, 2020

„Inscriptions from the archive“ is a drawing Robot that over the course of five month will engrave more than a thousand planks in the Auditorium at the University of Music in Vienna with sonograms of sounds that are generated and recorded by the sound installations located there. It was commissioned by „Rotting sounds“ and created in close collaboration with Thomas Grill, the principal investigator of the project.
Rotting sounds is a project of artistic research funded by the PEEK (Programme for Arts-based Research) funding program, managed by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF). The project AR 445-G24 is scheduled to run from May 2018 until the end of 2021.

Big shout out and thanks to Thomas Grill (grrrr.org) and Almut Schilling (abitpreservation.net) for their support and inspiration.
